Technical Sales Manager - Cultures & Dairy Enzymes

The product range of IFF H&B Dairy Biosciences includes starter cultures (live microorganisms), protective cultures, probiotic cultures, yeasts and mold fungus cultures, ripening cultures, as well as a large portfolio of innovative Dairy Enzymes. Our products are used in over 90 countries in the production of cheese, yogurt, various dairy products and other fermented foods.

We now offer an exciting opportunity for a result-oriented talent to join our H&B Dairy Biosciences team as Technical Sales Manager for Austria! The role can be either hybrid or remote in the country. Estimated travel is min. 50% in the country.

This role aims to grow the Cultures & Dairy Enzymes business at dairy customers in Austria and potentially for specific accounts in the DACH region, within the Cheese & Fresh dairy industry. This role will report into DACH-MED Cultures & Dairy Enzymes Sub-region Sales Leader, who covers Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Malta & Israel.

In this role, you will be fully supported by the Cultures and Dairy Enzymes business group which includes Communications, Marketing, Product Management, Applications, R&D, Operations and Finance to achieve our common goals.

Your Key Tasks:

• Support and promote our Cultures & Dairy Enzymes solutions & innovations to our Cheese & Fresh dairy customers.
• Being First Choice - develop strong relationships with targeted existing and potential dairy customers to promote IFF H&B Dairy Biosciences as the preferred supplier.
• Develop a robust new business opportunities pipeline & Manage these opportunities within our SalesForce.Com system.
• Ensure prices & conditions negotiations.
• Identify and evaluate new market trends/opportunities and develop these opportunities in new business to grow the company's market share within the dairy industry.
• Develop long-term sales plans for key customers and accounts, monitor and adapt sales activities that these objectives are met in accordance with IFF's category strategy
• Actively promote the company profile at conferences, tradeshows, and industry seminars
• Establish & maintain contacts to internal departments like Application and Product Management on relevant projects, pricing, market developments etc.

Job Requirements

• You are a professional with a dairy technology background having a solid practical understanding of fresh fermented milk product and/or cheese technology
• You are fluent in German and English language and have a valid driving license.
• Specific experience or competences within dairy cultures and enzymes will be considered a strong advantage
• You like to work independently, being self-motivated but also understand how to function in a larger organization and the importance of reaching common business goals - a high degree of team spirit is a prerequisite
• You prove project management skills where full ownership of driving new business opportunities is demonstrated by coordinating all team members to achieve business objectives
• You are customer centric and open-minded
