Amazon Logistics (AMZL) manages last-mile delivery through partnerships with third-party distributors. We focus on innovation to efficiently deliver products to customers, including for services like Amazon Fresh and Prime Now. Our operations involve two main areas: 'under the roof' processing and 'on the road' delivery teams. We operate 24/7 in most locations, emphasizing a supportive work environment. AMZL continually seeks to improve logistics efficiency and reduce environmental impact through advanced technology and eco-friendly vehicles. The On The Road (OTR) team is working closely with external delivery service providers (DSPs) to enhance last mile delivery for Amazon customers.
The Regional On The Road (OTR) manager will maximize the OTR operations by leveraging operational and stakeholder relationships.
The Regional OTR manager will be required to define the mid-term OTR strategy, whilst being able to lead and influence both internal and external stakeholders to align both AMZL processes, goals and strategies with DSPs. They will take the lead in OTR capacity planning and will be responsible for the OTR Ramp plans working closely with Middle Europe (MEU) capacity team and the Business Coaches to ensure that DSPs achieve their capacity targets. They will need to identify risk early and put in place contingency plans to solve Peak periods.
The Regional OTR managers will coordinate performance improvements across the regions working closely with OTR Quality, OTR Safety and Community teams to implement best practices whilst putting the DSP experience at the heart of the solution. They will own the Regional OTR business reviews and will be required to work closely with the site Delivery Station Managers and Delivery Ops as a trusted OTR partner helping site operations improve customer experience.
The Regional OTR manger will be required to work flexibly and will be required to travel between multiple sites weekly to work with site leadership to carry out their role effectively. The role is field based and covers responsibility for DSPs in up to 6 Last Mile Delivery Stations plus associated nodes, so the role requires a significant level of travel.
