Job Description

This role will be based in Graz, Austria.

We are seeking a Post Production Graphics Manager on the EMEAL Content Graphics Team. The Graphics Manager's primary responsibility is for the management of the EMEAL graphics team. This team is comprised of motion graphics designers focused on the instructional graphics for LinkedIn Learning's online video courses and is a part of the Post production team. They are also responsible for developing team skills, ensuring the high quality of instructional visual design of course graphics produced by their team, and for providing guidance based on the design style guides for those courses. They are also responsible for scheduling courses across international languages and providing scope assessment for the graphics team. This position will be a hybrid role based in the LinkedIn Graz, Austria office.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of motion graphics designers focused on instructional visual design in the DE, ES, FR programs.
  • Ensure the overall graphics quality and effectiveness is on-target with the visual goals of the course.
  • Drive 1:1 and team meetings.
  • Review team graphics and provide individuals with ongoing open, honest, and constructive feedback to continually improve course graphics, the post-production process, and grow team members' skills in instructional graphics and motion design.
  • Perform management duties, such as hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, developing, and assessing performance.
  • Define team goals, report on progress, and drive projects through to successful completion
  • Work closely with other managers across different time zones to improve or build new workflows and resolve issues across teams.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across other Content teams.
  • Schedule and track all team assignments to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Ensure that team hours and capacity are accurately tracked and that workloads meet business needs while supporting team wellbeing.
  • Uphold LinkedIn's culture and values across all team communication.
  • Create visual graphics for LinkedIn Learning by executing on tactical projects as needed.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications

Basic qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience working in a video production environment
  • 3+ years of experience managing large design projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • 1+ years of formal people management
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience guiding the design of informational graphics or instructional graphics
  • Experience giving direct reports performance reviews
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe After Effects
  • Experience in assessing performance, giving feedback and delivering performance reviews to direct reports
  • Excellent software skills and experience with Mac, Microsoft, and Google Apps environments
  • Excellent communication, writing, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines while organizing and prioritizing work in a fast-paced environment with little supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively create and guide clean, straightforward motion projects that support learning points.
  • Experience with analyzing data to report on team capacity.
  • Online portfolio that shows past motion-based projects.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Experience with software coding languages a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of the Austrian CBA
  • Business fluency in English
