As a Product Specialist within the Syneos Health-Client team, you will play a key role in supporting the launch of a product across your assigned region.

Your core responsibility is to build awareness of the product's value in treating insomnia, primarily engaging with psychiatrists and neurologists in both primary and secondary care settings. You will identify and engage relevant healthcare professionals, drive change within current treatment pathways, and act as the lead orchestrator of the local customer journey.

The role includes developing regional business plans to drive uptake, managing field activities and travel, and selecting the most effective channels for HCP engagement - whether in person or remote. You will lead data-driven, value-based conversations and help shape the product's success in a complex launch environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary role responsibilities will involve, but not be restricted to, the following activities:
  • Coverage of an agreed territory the PS will identify and develop HCP value-based interactions using approved materials/ media, along with company data and insights to proactively interact across primary and secondary care whilst ensuring alignment to national and regional launch strategy.
  • Will ensure interactions are delivered with competency and quality building a strong differentiated approach to customer interactions.
  • To create, adapt and deliver on a well-defined business plan within budget and agreed timelines.
  • To deliver sales, activity and other key performance metrics as deemed suitable.
  • Successfully complete the distance learning and any face-to-face initial training programme and any subsequent training programme deemed necessary to undertake the role.
  • Use of state-of-the-art Veeva Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to support planning, targeting, segmentation, sequential selling, territory analysis and administration to the desired level of quality.
  • Provide periodic qualitative feedback on the effectiveness of communication and detailing support materials and on the main objections received from HCPs.
  • Present clinical, financial, and value-based solutions using approved company materials/ media to key decision makers within the therapeutic area.
  • Educate healthcare professionals on the safe, appropriate, and effective use of the product to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Identify HCPs with special interest in Insomnia to support the advocacy of Idorsia's product and assess their importance to the local business.
  • Identify and assess local opportunities and where the PS believes value can be added, present prudent business cases to line manager for additional support and/or investment consideration
  • Develop long-term business relationships with HCPs with an interest in insomnia
  • Regular interaction/ collaboration with team members, and at regional and national team meetings to continually drive a culture of collaboration, support and sharing best practice.
  • Working closely with the client's MSL team to organise round tables and develop regional experts.
  • Share critical insights, especially on market dynamics and competitor activity with marketing and other stakeholders
  • getting consents and managing different communication channels, including digital communication channels
  • Comply with all Syneos Health and Client SOPs and codes of ethical practice
  • Ensure that all activity is compliant with local rules and regulations
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:
  • Fulfils legal requirements for medical reps in country (§ 72 AMG)
  • University Degree - Life Sciences preferred
  • Valid driver's license required
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • experience within Primary Care / Secondary Care Sales able to demonstrate success in achievements.
  • Product launch experience desirable, especially in CNS and/ or Neurology.
  • Current relationships with HCPs with an interest in insomnia, including Primary Care GP's, and Psychiatrists and Neurologists will be a distinct advantage.
  • Previous experience selling within CNS/ Neurology/ Psychiatry is preferred.
  • Current experience of applying a multi-channel approach including the use of e-detailing, remote call applications and other digital approaches e.g., omnichannel
  • Enthusiastic, high energy, team orientated person with a "can do" attitude
  • An entrepreneur at heart who sees roadblocks as opportunities and problems as the norm
  • Outstanding communicator with exceptional selling and persuading skills
  • Strong drive for achievement and willingness to challenge the status quo to deliver results.
  • Outstanding territory business planning, management, and organisation skills, ensuring planning and administration is completed
  • A curious and intelligent networker who identifies the touch points in each account which need to be influenced, the stakeholders involved and builds and executes plans which deliver sales success.
  • Strong analytical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to utilise Veeva CRM with Engage and other digital resources to deliver sales targets in the most cost-efficient way possible
  • Willingness to collaborate with team colleagues share best practice and actionable insights in the interests of the team's success and their own
