By joining us as a Network Solution Architect, you'll ensure the IT network services are technically built, operated, and maintained to meet our Service Level Objectives and can easily and effectively be used by our internal stakeholders to contribute to the business success of Red Bull Media House and its affiliates. In this role, you'll be accountable for the reliability of our media specific network infrastructure (used for studio and live productions, post-production, live streaming, content contribution/distribution, media asset management).

Job Description

NETWORK SERVICE

In this role, you'll be accountable for the architecture and technical solution design of RBMH's network services with a dedicated focus on media specific B2B/B2C use cases. You'll challenge the network services to ensure they are fit-for-use and fit-for-purpose but also develop the service further.

PROJECTS

You'll be working with cross-functional IT service teams in the preparation, validation, and execution of media focused projects, providing network engineering and architecture expertise.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL NETWORK ENABLEMENT TEAM

This role is part of a self-organized IT network services team within Red Bull Media House's IT department (Media Technology & IT). The team is accountable for the entire lifecycle of all network services and continuously strive to enable users to flawlessly connect media specific workloads using the network services.

SERVICE OPERATIONS

You'll manage service operations for the network services. This includes coordination and collaboration with our external service providers and operations partners as well as network engineering, continuous service improvement, problem management, monitoring and KPI reporting, management of demands, request fulfilments and change requests. You'll create and maintain service documentation and SOPs. In addition, you'll also be fulfilling 2nd or 3rd level support when needed, also participating in an on-duty rotation (business hours) shared across the network team members.

Qualifications

5 years reliability/operational experience (DevNetOps) running large-scale, high performance IT data center networks and internet services with focus on media-specific purposes.

University degree (Bachelor or Master) with focus on IT topics

Experience with video transport protocols such as RTP, RTMP, SRT, UDP, Zixi, RIST, HLS, NDI and uncompressed video and audio over IP (SMPTE 2110, AES67/DANTE)

Proficient understanding of networking principles (switching, routing, multicast, overlay architectures like. MPLS, VXLAN EVPN and application protocol, especially TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, TLS, and HTTP/S)

Professional network engineering experience with hybrid network architectures connecting on-premises data centers and IaaS/public cloud services.

Fluent in English; German is a plus but not required.

Additional Information

Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is € 2446 gross per month. However, our attractive compensation package is based on market-oriented salaries and is therefore significantly above the stated minimum salary.
