- As an Agency Partnership Manager, you will act as the primary commercial contact for Austria's major media agencies. Your mission is to negotiate annual commitments, secure optimal placements for our inventory, and drive revenue through strategic agency partnerships. You will manage all commercial discussions - from rate negotiations to deal structures, forecasting, and contract renewals - while ensuring we sustain a strong market position in the national TV & digital landscape. The role requires a good understanding of the Austrian TV marketplace, Digital marketplace, agency structures, and buying dynamics.
- Commercial & Rate Negotiations
- Lead annual and quarterly negotiations with major agencies and buying groups to secure revenue-driving commitments.
- Develop strategic deal frameworks (share deals, volume commitments, growth incentives) aligned with market benchmarks and agency expectations.
- Steer and optimize rate cards, trading conditions, and negotiation margins based on demand, competition, and inventory pressure.
- Prepare negotiation scenarios and proposals, including pricing simulations and revenue impact analysis.
- Agency Relationship Management
- Own and develop senior relationships with planning and buying teams at national media agencies.
- Position RTL AdAlliance as a premium and solution-driven partner, backed by insights, content expertise, and high-quality inventory.
- Conduct regular business reviews, performance check-ins, and proactive discussions on market trends and advertiser opportunities.
- Identify growth gaps and build tailored strategies per agency to increase spend and share-of-wallet.
- Deal & Revenue Management
- Track commitments vs. actual delivery and proactively manage deviations (e.g., under-delivery, revenue leakage).
- Provide accurate revenue forecasts, pacing, and reporting to internal leadership.
- Collaborate with finance on contract documentation, rebate structures, and contractual follow-ups.
- Ensure commercial compliance, correct deal booking, and proper internal handover to ad operations.
- Market & Competitive Intelligence
- Monitor market dynamics, pricing developments, audience trends, and competitor sales strategies.
- Prepare sales arguments for new formats (premium placements, sponsorships, integrations).
- Represent RTL AdAlliance at agency meetings, market discussions, and industry forums in Austria.
- 3-5 years of experience in media, advertising, or client servicing (agency or publisher side)
- Expertise in Austrian TV & Digital market mechanics, including buying cycles, agency structures, and trading models.
- Experience with annual negotiations and agency commitments
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint); familiarity with media planning tools a plus
- Fluency in German & English is essential.
