- Unit of Language Education
- 20 hours per week
Your tasks:
- Independent research activities in the field of empirical second language acquisition research, in particular in the context of foreign language acquisition in schools
- Collaboration in research, teaching and administrative tasks at the Department of Subject-Specific Education/Unit of Languages, at the Faculty of Teacher Education and in research networks of the university; collaboration in organisational and administrative tasks as well as in evaluation measures
- (Co-)supervision of students incl. (co-)supervision of final theses
- Independent organisation of courses and holding of examinations in the field of foreign language education with a focus on English
- professional development
- Completed doctoral or PhD studies in the field of foreign language education, a focus on (school-based) second language acquisition is desirable
- Teaching degree in modern languages (one of which must be English); university teaching experience in the field of foreign language education; (empirical) research in foreign language education; good knowledge of the Austrian school system
- German language skills (if not L1): C1 level according to CEFR; knowledge of English at C2 level according to CEFR
- The following qualifications are desirable: Research experience in foreign language education; publications in the field of second language acquisition/multilingualism in institutional contexts; school teaching experience in the field of modern languages
- Ability to work in a team
- Willingness to communicate and cooperate with other areas of subject-specific education at regional, national and international level
