Job Description:

Core Responsibilities:
  • Collaborative and independent research within the research group Teacher Education / Formal Education / Learning at the Department of Teacher Education and School Research, University of Innsbruck
  • Design, development, and continuous advancement of educational science components within BA/MA teacher education curricula (with particular emphasis on language awareness / language-sensitive teaching)
  • Teaching and examination duties in BA/MA programmes as part of the educational science of secondary teacher education (general education track)
  • Supervision of undergraduate and graduate theses
  • Contribution to the preparation and submission of new national and international research funding proposals in the field of formal education and learning
  • Participation in organisational, administrative, and governance tasks within the university, including service on academic committees
  • Engagement in continuing professional development
Required Qualifications:
  • Completed teacher education degree
  • Several years of teaching experience in schools
  • Relevant academic mobility experience and stays abroad
  • Subject-specific doctoral degree with a specialization in formal education
  • Excellent knowledge of the Austrian education system as well as international school and teacher education systems
  • Experience in university teaching (particularly in the area of educational science components in teacher education), teaching management, and curriculum development
  • National and international publication record and conference presentations
  • Experience in management and committee work within relevant national and international academic or professional associations
  • Experience in educational research project management
  • High degree of flexibility, resilience, and problem-solving competence

The minimum gross salary (stipulated by collective agreement) for this position amounts to € 5.014 per month (14 times) * .
