Job Description:

Your tasks:
  • Doctoral thesis in the field of testing and assessment; research (especially dissertation) and participation in research projects in the area of the Language Testing Research Group Innsbruck (LTRGI)
  • Independent research-led teaching in language-specific specialised didactics
  • Lecturing and publishing activities; involvement in cross-linguistic teaching in the field of language didactics
  • Training and further education
  • Administrative tasks
Your profile:
  • Required qualifications: Completed teacher training programme (diploma/master's degree) in at least one modern foreign language or a degree in applied linguistics; German language skills, if not L1: C1 according to GeR; English language skills: C1 according to GeR; very good IT skills; knowledge of research approaches and research tools in foreign language didactics
  • Required: Please enclose a written proposal on your dissertation project with your application (max. 5 pages)
  • Desired: Diploma/Master's thesis in language education; experience in school and university teaching; participation in relevant conferences; relevant experience abroad; basic knowledge of quantitative research methods
  • Creative problem-solving skills, ability to work in a team, pedagogical and didactic skills

The minimum gross salary (stipulated by collective agreement) for 20 hours per week amounts to € 1.857 per month (14 times)*. The salary will be increased to € 2.785 for 30 hours per week once the dissertation agreement has been signed and sent to the Personnel Department. The salary will be higher if you have worked in a similar position before.
