Start date/duration:
- from 24.05.2026
- to 23.05.2028, but only until the return of the jobholder
- Unit of Language Education
- 20 hours per week
Your tasks:
- Independent research in the field of language testing and assessment, particularly in relation to English as a teaching subject
- Independent teaching in the didactics of English as a subject and across languages
- (Co-)supervision of final theses; participation in and organisation of examinations
- Participation in organisational and administrative tasks as well as in evaluation measures at the Department of Subject-Specific Education/Unit of Languages-Language Testing Research Group Innsbruck, at the Faculty of Teacher Education as well as in research networks and country centres of the university; submission and coordination of third-party funded projects
- Continuing education
- Completed teacher training programme and doctorate in English or equivalent qualification; completed doctorate in the field of applied linguistics or foreign language education, preferably in the field of language testing research
- Relevant presentation and publication activities
- German language skills (if not L1): C1 level according to CEFR; English language skills: C2 level according to CEFR; subject-related IT skills
- Ability to think and act institutionally; ability to work in a team
- Desirable: experience of mobility; experience in teaching subject didactics across languages at university; teaching experience at school Innovative ability and creativity;
- Willingness to communicate and co-operate with other didactics departments at regional, national and international level
