Job Description:

Your tasks:
  • Independent empirical research in the field of physics education with a focus on climate education
  • Conception, implementation and further development of research-led courses in the physics teacher training programme and supervision of scientific theses (Bachelor and Master) in the physics teacher training programme
  • Participation in organisation and administration in the field of mathematics and natural sciences at the Department of Subject-specific Education
  • Independent acquisition, management and coordination of national and international third-party funded projects and participation in corresponding research networks
  • Participation in public relations and knowledge transfer, especially in the context of learning labs
Your profile:
  • Completed teacher training programme with physics as a teaching subject or equivalent; completed doctoral studies or PhD in physics education or equivalent
  • Experience in the independent implementation and further development of university courses in the field of physics education
  • Publication experience in internationally visible, peer-reviewed journals in the field of empirical science education research
  • Experience in independently acquiring and participating in third-party funded projects (national and international)
  • Research experience in the field of climate education and education for sustainable development
  • Experience in setting up, organising and running learning labs
  • German language skills, if not first language: C1
  • Knowledge of English, if not first language: B2
  • Desired: Teaching experience in physics at school
  • Ability to innovate and be creative
  • Ability to think and act institutionally
  • Strong interest in research
  • Desired: Management and personnel leadership skills

The minimum gross salary (stipulated by collective agreement) for this position amounts to € 5.014 per month (14 times) * .
