Start date/duration:
- from 01.07.2026
- for 4 years, possibility for a permanent position depending on requirement and performance evaluation
- Unit of Mathematics and Science Education
- 40 hours per week
Your tasks:
- Independent empirical research in the field of physics education with a focus on climate education
- Conception, implementation and further development of research-led courses in the physics teacher training programme and supervision of scientific theses (Bachelor and Master) in the physics teacher training programme
- Participation in organisation and administration in the field of mathematics and natural sciences at the Department of Subject-specific Education
- Independent acquisition, management and coordination of national and international third-party funded projects and participation in corresponding research networks
- Participation in public relations and knowledge transfer, especially in the context of learning labs
- Completed teacher training programme with physics as a teaching subject or equivalent; completed doctoral studies or PhD in physics education or equivalent
- Experience in the independent implementation and further development of university courses in the field of physics education
- Publication experience in internationally visible, peer-reviewed journals in the field of empirical science education research
- Experience in independently acquiring and participating in third-party funded projects (national and international)
- Research experience in the field of climate education and education for sustainable development
- Experience in setting up, organising and running learning labs
- German language skills, if not first language: C1
- Knowledge of English, if not first language: B2
- Desired: Teaching experience in physics at school
- Ability to innovate and be creative
- Ability to think and act institutionally
- Strong interest in research
- Desired: Management and personnel leadership skills
