Senior Process Engineer (all genders)

What You'll Do

  • Responsible for performing professional process engineering research, development and evaluation in semiconductor environment
  • Reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication and evaluation of products including in-house lab demonstrations
  • Conceives and plans projects involving definition and selection of new concepts and approaches
  • Supports customer technology managers in the planning, data collection, analysis and reporting
  • Works with customer and senior engineers cross functionally to understand roadmaps, process flow, inflection points, requirements and business issues/ challenges.
  • May act as single point of contact accountable for process related customer requests
  • Drives introduction and evaluation of new technologies at customer sites including new tool qualifications
Other Job Responsibilities
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements
  • Works with cross-functional teams to get information and results needed
  • Flexibility to travel to meet business requirements (<25% of the time)
Who We're Looking For
• BSc in in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Physics
• Minimum 7+ years of Process Engineer experience in the semiconductor industry
• Familiarity with working in a chemical laboratory, having experience in surface preparation and analytical techniques
• In-depth understanding and experience in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE)
• Excellent social skills with ability to work within diverse teams
• Creative thinking and strong problem-solving capabilities, able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation skills in English

This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in occupation group G. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

Employment in Austria

This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry. A higher payment is negotiable depending on expertise, education, and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.
