Senior Mechanical / Design Engineer (m/f/d)

You will be situated in the R&D group and be responsible for the maintenance of line and product enhancements on residual breaker portfolio as part of the EMEA Product Line Miniature Circuit Breakers (MCB). Market adaptations for MCBs and related accessories will be your key issues.
Your key responsibilities:

• Mechanical Engineering and detailed design including material selection of metal and plastic parts
• Engineering on assembly / device level for residential breakers and DIN rail components
• Preparation of parts lists, assembly drawings, checklists, technical documentation
• Ordering and preparation of samples and prototypes
• Leading individual sustaining activities, acting as project lead for same, with focus on the engineering part, providing technical product and platform documentation
• Provision and implementation of product optimizations, e.g. representing manufacturing process improvements and cost-outs
• Driving (technical) cost saving activities and projects and provide related development activities
• Consideration of environmental and ecological aspects during the development process (RoHS, Reach)
• Carrying out document release, change and deletion process and production releases

Your profile:

• Mechanical or electromechanical education (HTL, FH or similar)
• Minimum 3 years' comparable experience in mechanical function development
• Mechanical and electrotechnical engineering knowledge
• CAD knowledge (e.g. Creo Modeling or similar)
• Data management knowledge (Model Manager or similar PDM system, SAP or similar ERP system)
• Good knowledge of written and spoken English
• Experience in product design process and related tools
• Basic understanding of mechanical production processes (metal and plastic part production)
• Experience in leading design activities and smaller design projects

The annual gross salary for this position starts at € 66.000;-- depending on your experience and qualification a higher remuneration is possible.
