Job Duties:
- Independent teaching and management of courses(lectures, seminars, exercises, etc.) in the subject of statistics with a focus on probability theory and experimental design
- Independent teaching and coordination of courses amounting to 8 teaching hours per week in the degree programs supervised by the Institute of Applied Statistics
- Conducting examinations, preparing exam materials, and grading exams
- Supervision of bachelor's and master's theses
- Assistance with administrative activities related to university duties, in particular tasks associated with coordinating the institute's courses
- The successful candidate must hold a Doctorate/PhD degree in statistics or a related field
- Knowledge of computational statistics and experimental design, ideally demonstrated through publications
- Teaching experience in statistics, with a focus on computational statistics and experimental design
- Didactic and pedagogical qualifications and a willingness to undertake further training in didactics
- Very good written and spoken German or English skills (business fluent, C1 level)
- On the basis of full-time employment (40 hours/week) the minimum salary in accordance with the collective agreement is € 3,776.10 gross per month (14 x per year, CA Job Grade: B1)
