Job Duties:

• Independent teaching and management of courses(lectures, seminars, exercises, etc.) in the subject of statistics with a focus on probability theory and experimental design
• Independent teaching and coordination of courses amounting to 8 teaching hours per week in the degree programs supervised by the Institute of Applied Statistics
• Conducting examinations, preparing exam materials, and grading exams
• Supervision of bachelor's and master's theses
• Assistance with administrative activities related to university duties, in particular tasks associated with coordinating the institute's courses

Your Qualifications:

• The successful candidate must hold a Doctorate/PhD degree in statistics or a related field
• Knowledge of computational statistics and experimental design, ideally demonstrated through publications
• Teaching experience in statistics, with a focus on computational statistics and experimental design
• Didactic and pedagogical qualifications and a willingness to undertake further training in didactics
• Very good written and spoken German or English skills (business fluent, C1 level)
