Job Duties:
- Autonomous teaching in the field of language instruction and language competence in English
- Autonomous development and improvement of teaching concepts in the field of language instruction and language competence in English with the following main topics:
- (1) Applied English (English for Specific Purposes - ESP) with a particular emphasis economics and Business English
- (2) Applied English (English for Specific Purposes - ESP) with a particular on human medicine and medical terminology
- Adaptation of course content and development of didactic approaches in connection with the use of AI tools in ESP language competence courses
- Participation in team and department meetings
- Candidates are expected to keep up-to-date with scholarly research in the field of language didactics
- Organization and administration of your own teaching
- The successful candidate must hold a completed diploma/master's or teaching degree in English language and literature,TEFL/TESOL or an equivalent tertiary qualification in the field of Applied English language teaching
- Several years of independent teaching experience in the field of English as a foreign language or Applied English at a tertiary and/or secondary educational institution
- Experience in one or more of the following subject areas of specialized English language: Business English, Medical English, English for Business lnformatics, Academic Writing, lntercultural and/or Communicative Skills for Business
- Experience in developing course content for English as a foreign language as well as Applied English/ESP courses, ideally in the context of Business English and/or Medical English
- lnternational (work) experience and practical experience in Business English are desirable
- Communication, cooperation and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently
- Willingness to work in a team
- Excellent language skills in English (C2) and German (B2)
- On the basis of full-time employment (40 hours/week) the minimum salary in accordance with the collective agreement is € 3,776.10 gross per month (14 x per year, CA Job Grade: B1)
