Start date/duration:
- as soon as possible
- for 4 years, possibility for a permanent position depending on requirement and performance evaluation
- Department of Geography
- 30 hours per week
Your tasks:
- Independent teaching, examination and supervision in economic geography in all degree programmes of the Institute of Geography (12 semester hours)
- Further development of the teaching programme and curriculum in economic geography and related areas
- Teaching economic geography perspectives on transformation, development and resource utilisation
- Practice-based and research-based teaching, student support and participation in the study programme
- Professional and didactic further qualification
- Contributing to organizational and administrative duties, as well as evaluation and assessment activities.
- Completed doctoral or PhD studies in geography, agricultural/environmental economics or a relevant subject related to economic geography and the analysis of socio-ecological systems
- Extensive teaching experience in higher education and didactic aptitude for human geography, in particular economic geography courses with a regional focus (preferably in rural alpine areas) as well as for inter- and transdisciplinary formats
- Willingness and ability to actively participate in the further development of economic geography courses (especially in teacher training programmes), specialisations and project-oriented teaching formats and to link these with research profiles on socio-ecological transformations, governance and resource economics
- Proven experience in integrating sustainability issues, application-oriented projects and/or transdisciplinary approaches into teaching
- ability to work in a team
- Organisational strength and willingness to actively contribute to the design of courses and specialisations
