Start date/duration:
- from 24.05.2026
- to 23.05.2028, but only until the return of the jobholder
- Unit of Language Education
- 20 hours per week
Your tasks:
- Independent teaching in the subject didactics of English and in cross-linguistic subject didactics to the extent of 8 semester hours
- Collaboration in research, especially in the field of language test research, and independent research at the Department of Subject-Specific Education/Unit of Languages
- Supervision of students incl. supervision of Bachelor's theses; assistance with examinations
- Collaboration in organisational and administrative tasks as well as in evaluation measures at the Department of Subject-Specific Education; cooperation with institutions of general pedagogical training and other subject didactics training courses at the University of Innsbruck as well as with school and other tertiary educational institutions as a representative of the department
- Continuing education in foreign language education
- Completed teacher training and doctoral studies in English or equivalent qualification; completed doctorate in the field of applied linguistics or foreign language education, desirable in the field of language test research
- University teaching experience in the subject didactics of English
- Language skills according to CEFR: English C2, German language skills, if not L1: C1; good IT skills
- Ability to act and work independently, reliably and goal-oriented as well as to solve problems creatively and socially and to work in a team; organisational and administrative skills
- Desired: Expertise in the field of testing and assessing foreign language skills; experience in cross-linguistic foreign language didactics; good knowledge of the Austrian school system; teaching experience in English at school; university language teaching experience; publication and lecture activities
