Start date/duration:
- as soon as possible
- for 4 years, possibility for a permanent position depending on requirement and performance evaluation
- Department of Psychology
- 40 hours per week
Your tasks:
- Independent organisation of courses and holding of examinations (4 semester hours)
- Research
- Supervision of students (including Master's theses)
- Administrative activities in the General Psychology research group
- Completed degree in a relevant subject with a doctorate (Psychology)
- Proven experience in the independent acquisition and management of competitive third-party funded projects (FWF, ÖAW)
- International research experience and active networking in international experimental and cognitive psychology documented by international publications, conference contributions and research stays
- Ability to teach research-related courses in general and experimental psychology and to supervise students in empirical-experimental theses
- Proven research expertise in action-related cognitive representations, in particular motor learning, action imagination, mental chronometry and the development and automation of sequential action representations
- Proven experience in the development, validation and critical evaluation of experimental and diagnostic measurement procedures in the field of action-related cognition
- very good knowledge of analysing research data (R, SPSS, JASP, jamovi)
- Skills in programming experiments (e.g. PsychoPy, OpenSesame, Python)
- very good knowledge in planning, conducting and analysing complex experimental designs, especially reaction time based paradigms and learning studies
- very good written and spoken German and English skills
- High communication and cooperation skills
- ability to work in a team
- willingness to undergo further training
