  • Operations & Weekend Rotations: Administer dev, test, and production environments; participate in weekend coverage (approx. 1-2 times per month) to supervise essential maintenance, platform upgrades, and high-impact releases.

  • Observability & Incident Diagnostics: Maintain telemetry and monitoring solutions to ensure maximum platform resilience and uptime; lead root-cause analyses for pipeline and infrastructure incidents, alongside on-call duties.

  • Mentorship & Agile Teamwork: Collaborate closely with development, QA, and Product Management within a Scrum structure; mentor junior team members and champion robust DevOps engineering practices.

  • Technical Documentation: Author detailed, audit-compliant runbooks, pipeline guides, and operational procedures.

Candidate Profile

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience, paired with 5+ years of demonstrable experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Software Delivery.

  • CI/CD & Cloud Expertise: In-depth knowledge of pipeline automation using GitHub Actions (or equivalent) and solid hands-on experience across core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda).

  • IaC & Automation Tools: Hands-on experience with AWS CDK is a strong asset; familiarity with AWS CodeDeploy is advantageous.

  • Linux & Scripting Skills: Solid Linux administration skills (SSH, log diagnostics, service management), proficient Bash scripting, and demonstrable JavaScript coding abilities (TypeScript is a plus).

  • Observability: Familiarity with modern monitoring frameworks, preferably OpenTelemetry (OTel) and SIEM concepts.

  • Schedule Alignment: Reliable readiness for an early morning start at 06:00 AM and availability for 1-2 weekend shifts per month.

  • Languages: Professional working proficiency in both English and German for seamless cross-border collaboration.
