We are currently looking for a Project Manager for Testing & Homologation for Push-Pull Intercity Trains for our Mobility location in Vienna or Graz.

As Project Manager for Testing & Homologation, you will be part of the project organization and report to the Head of Project Management.

You will play a key role in the execution of our projects through comprehensive planning and coordination of testing and homologation activities, thus ensuring the approval and commissioning of our trains in compliance with schedule and specifications.

Your new role - challenging and future-oriented

  • Project-specific planning of required functions for approval and operation based on the requirements from supply contracts, specifications, laws, and standards
  • Development of approval strategy and approval planning in collaboration with approval management
  • Creation and maintenance of test and validation strategy and overall test plan together with test management to ensure the timely provision of evidence for approval and commissioning, and guideline-compliant implementation of tests processes
  • Ensuring the most resource-efficient use of test vehicles and infrastructure, including through development of laboratory testing capacities
  • Derivation and coordination of cross-departmental development, test, and approval planning with interface partners involved in approval (including Engineering, Validation, Safety, Test Management, Approval, Enterprise Scheduling)
  • Coordination and control of activities, ensuring coupling milestones, identification and mitigation of critical paths
  • Creation and ongoing development of risk analyses in the area of test execution and homologation regarding overall schedule and customer requirements, as well as the development of appropriate countermeasures for risk minimization
  • Responsibility for maintaining financial and schedule budgets for testing, validation, and approval within the project
Your qualifications - solid and adequate

  • Completed business or technical education (University, University of applied sciences, or technical college)
  • Several years of experience in (sub-)project management, test management, or approval management, ideally in the rail vehicle sector
  • Open-minded, communicative, and proactive personality who solves problems in a goal-oriented and independent manner
  • Ability to quickly grasp and structure complex and unfamiliar issues
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to form and lead interdisciplinary teams
  • Highly self-motivated - "Passion to drive."
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and German
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Siemens as an international company offers additional social benefits. We offer an attractive compensation package that matches your qualifications and professional experience. According to the collective agreement, the gross annual salary for this position is at least EUR 65.660,-. Depending on your education and experience, overpayment is possible.
