The Production Planner is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and optimizing production activities across Glatz International's manufacturing and supply chain network. The role ensures on-time availability of products, efficient use of resources, and alignment between production capacity, sales forecasts, and inventory targets.

This position requires strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills to collaborate closely with operations, procurement, logistics, and quality teams in Austria and Hungary.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Scheduling
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize weekly and monthly production plans based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels.
  • Coordinate production schedules across multiple facilities to ensure optimal capacity utilization.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust plans to manage deviations, bottlenecks, or urgent priorities.
2. Material & Resource Coordination
  • Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and packaging.
  • Track inventory levels and initiate replenishment orders when required.
  • Align production timelines with maintenance and quality control schedules.
3. Data Management & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate data in the ERP/MRP system (e.g., SAP, Zoho, or similar).
  • Analyze production KPIs (lead times, yield, capacity utilization) and propose process improvements.
  • Prepare regular reports for management on production performance and planning accuracy.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Act as a liaison between production, logistics, procurement, and commercial teams.
  • Ensure smooth coordination of production changes, new product introductions, and seasonal adjustments.
  • Support local operations teams in daily planning and issue resolution.
5. Continuous Improvement
  • Identify inefficiencies in planning or production flow and propose corrective actions.
  • Participate in Lean/Kaizen initiatives and support process digitalization projects.
Requirements
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in production or supply planning, ideally in the food, commodities, or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems and planning tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills in English and German.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-border environment.
