The Impact You'll Make

As a Mechanical PnID Engineer at Lam, you're designing and defining cutting-edge mechanical and electro-mechanical systems. Your role involves feasibility studies, testing, and guiding teams in detailed design and fabrication. You provide the crucial design information needed to shape our technology's packaging.

What You'll Do

  • Create detailed PnIDs using AutoCAD to represent the process flow and instrumentation of wet chemistry processing systems
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to date PnIDs for new and existing systems.
  • Specify instrumentation and control devices based on project requirements and SEMI standards
  • Work closely with process engineers, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the PnIDs meet all technical and safety requirements
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of PnIDs to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Participate in testing and commissioning of systems to verify that they meet design specifications.
Who We're Looking For

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant work experience; or
  • Mechanical Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English language.
  • Hands-on experimental and design background coupled with solid engineering skills.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Semiconductor industry is a plus.
  • Good knowledge in a AutoCAD and other CAD programs(Solid Edge, Siemens NX or similar)
  • Experience in a PDM Programm (Team Center or similar)
  • Knowledge of MS Office

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

Employment in Austria

This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry. A higher payment is negotiable depending on expertise, education, and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.
