The impact you'll make
In this position, you as a manufacturing engineer play a vital role in supporting panel equipment production. You will have the opportunity to work across organization functions to resolve technical, quality and production challenges, as well as opportunity to develop excellence in product design and manufacturing. Oversees the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes, and operations for new and existing systems. Ensures the effective use of materials, equipment, processes, and systems in producing quality products at minimum costs. Acts as liaison with engineering in releasing new products. Develops systems to maintain reports and record keeping of company products.

This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in the occupation group F depending on educational background. A higher payment is negotiable depending on education, expertise and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

What you'll do
- Provide technical support in assembly and final test of the production floor
- Work with Lam Product Group Engineering in correcting design errors and driving RCCA
- Drive the improvement of the manufacturing processes to ensure product quality, cost, and on-time-delivery
- Drive work instruction creation and deployment within Lam's manufacturing execution system
- Estimate manufacturing cost, determines time standards and makes recommendations for fixturing and process requirements of new product lines
- Maintain records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations
- Review new designs for manufacturability and makes recommendations to design engineering on manufacturability (DFMA) improvements
- Analyze the build process via pFMEA, identifies risks and bottlenecks, and drives improvement
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience; or equivalent experience
- Creative thinking and strong problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities, ideally including experience in the areas of electro/mechanical assemblies
- Solid understanding of electrical systems, manufacturing processes, quality systems
- Solid understanding of statistical process control and basic statistical analysis used in production setting
- Solid understanding of equipment and component manufacturing processes
- Ability to learn new skills quickly with minimal guidance.Understand the use and deployment of manufacturing execution systems
- Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills, and attention to detail
- 3D modeling experience or training along with experience in model based definition strongly preferred
- Knowledge of Semiconductor equipment, Capital Equipment industry and its manufacturing processes.
