Die Lehrveranstaltung wird im 1. Semester des Masterstudiengangs der Studienrichtung "Exhibition Design" angeboten.
Die Lehrveranstaltung vermittelt theoretische und methodische Grundlagen des Ausstellungsdesigns und der Szenografie. Im Mittelpunkt stehen Prinzipien des räumlichen Storytellings, das Verhältnis von Objekt und Raum in der Inszenierung sowie die Analyse internationaler Fallbeispiele. Studierende setzen sich mit dramaturgischen Konzepten und gestalterischen Strategien für Ausstellungen auseinander.
Die Teilnehmenden erwerben die Fähigkeit, theoretische Grundlagen auf die Analyse und Entwicklung von Ausstellungsinszenierungen anzuwenden, Räume als narrative Systeme zu denken und konzeptionelle Ansätze für räumliches Storytelling zu entwickeln. Zudem reflektieren sie Szenografie als kulturelle Praxis und Mittel der Wissensvermittlung.
Anforderungen:
Gesucht wird eine Person mit einschlägiger akademischer Ausbildung und beruflicher Erfahrung in den Bereichen Ausstellungsdesign, Szenografie oder Kuratieren. Ein Portfolio mit relevanten Projekten ist erwünscht. Referenzen in der Hochschullehre sind ebenfalls erwünscht.

Unterrichtssprache: Deutsch, bei Bedarf auch Englisch

Course Description:
This course is offered in the first semester of the master's degree program in the "Exhibition Design" specialization.
The course teaches the theoretical and methodological foundations of exhibition design and scenography. The focus is on the principles of spatial storytelling, the relationship between object and space in staging, and the analysis of international case studies. Students explore dramaturgical concepts and design strategies for exhibitions.
Participants will acquire the ability to apply theoretical principles to the analysis and development of exhibition staging, to think of spaces as narrative systems, and to develop conceptual approaches to spatial storytelling. They will also reflect on scenography as a cultural practice and a means of knowledge transfer.
Requirements:
We are seeking a candidate with relevant academic qualification and professional experience in the areas of exhibition design, scenography, or curating. A portfolio with relevant projects is desirable. References in university teaching are also desirable.
Extent: 1 semester hour per week (SWS)
Language of instruction: German, English if necessary
