The following position is available at the Institute for Woodwind Instruments (HOL) starting March 1, 2027

Lecturer in Accompaniment (m/f/d)
9 hours per week, equivalent to 5 teaching hours (22.73% of full-time employment)

Requirements

Employment requirement
  • Ausgewiesene umfangreiche künstlerische Tätigkeit als Pianist*in und Klavierbegleiter*in
  • Erfahrung in der Korrepetition
  • eine der Verwendung entsprechende abgeschlossene inländische oder gleichwertige ausländische Hochschulbildung
  • hervorragende pädagogisch-didaktische Eignung
  • Deutschkenntnisse (mindestens B1 innerhalb des ersten Jahres)

Role & Responsibilities

  • As a class accompanist, you will work with various flute classes at the Institute for Woodwind Instruments and prepare relevant repertoire with students in the bachelor's and master's programs.
  • Your responsibilities will also include preparing for and accompanying class recitals, competitions, hearings, auditions, and exams.
  • You are required to participate in academic self-governance

  • Hours of employment: 9 hours per week, equivalent to 5 teaching hours (22.73% of full-time employment)
  • The salary, based on 5 teaching hours per week, is at least €1,082.22 gross per month (depending on prior service). The position is classified in salary group C (corresponding to career level LD 10 of the Upper Austrian Salary Act of 2001).
  • Procedure in accordance with §27 of our bylaws:
    • Preliminary screening by a hiring committee
