    Our client is a successful company focused on animal health & nutrition, leading the way in animal genetic improvement to contribute to global nourishment. Its corporate vision is to pioneer animal genetic improvement for global nourishment, with the goal of helping its customers become the most successful pork producers globally.

In order to develop its business in Italy & The Balkans, we are currently seeking a Key Account Manager to join the team in Italy, reporting to the Commercial Director:

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Commercial Director to develop strategic initiatives to achieve profit targets and customer objectives
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the customer base, negotiating contractual agreements as needed
  • Cultivate relationships with key accounts to increase revenue and profitability
  • Manage budgets and forecasts for the designated area of responsibility
  • Negotiate, maintain, and renew customer contracts
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition to industry contacts
  • Work with key accounts to implement enhanced genetic improvement strategies
  • Foster strong relationships with various enabling functions such as Marketing, Supply Chain, Technical Services, Genetic Services, and Finance to drive business success and meet strategic goals

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or Animal Sciences preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of sales experience, ideally in a B2B Commercial or Key Account Manager role
  • Experience in porcine genetics or pork production highly desirable but not a must
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and influencing skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing demands and demonstrate innovation
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
