As a Group Automation Engineer, you support and coordinate group automation activities across global manufacturing sites, driving standardization, consistency, and continuous improvement. You act as a technical lead for strategic automation initiatives in close alignment with local teams and key stakeholders across all sites.

Your main tasks and responsibilities
- Develop and maintain group automation standards in alignment with global best practices
- Act as the interface between group and local automation teams to ensure consistent implementation, compliance, and continuous improvement of group automation standards across all sites
- Serve as technical lead and provide support for group strategic automation projects, overseeing all phases from concept through completion
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, IT, and Maintenance to develop automation solutions aligned with the company's global operations
- Manage and coordinate relationships with strategic vendors and suppliers to drive innovation, enhance system performance, ensure seamless integration, and align solutions with group goals and standards
- Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering or a related field
- At least 5 years of professional experience in process automation technologies, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry
- Proven experience with PLC, SCADA, and DCS systems
- Familiarity with global manufacturing standards and compliance requirements (e.g. ISO)
- Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies (e.g. IoT, AI, machine learning) is an advantage
- Strong ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and support and motivate team members in an international project environment
- Excellent communication skills and excellent English skills, written and spoken
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 30%

- The Group Technical Organization consists of Group Engineering, Automation, and Maintenance. We are represented at all production sites in Europe.
- You will work in a multinational organization supporting all production sites from a technical perspective.
- The Engineering department mainly works on project development in the early phases of strategic projects.
