Organisational Unit
The Buildings and Technology Service Unit ensures that the infrastructure meets current needs and implements safety and health-promoting measures in work and study areas throughout all buildings at Graz University of Technology.

- Organisation und Durchführung der Vorbereitung der Entsorgung von gefährlichen Abfällen an allen Campusstandorten, beratende Unterstützung der Institute, sowie aller an den Campusstandorten situierten Organisationen beim Umgang mit Gefahrstoffen
- Erstellung und Pflege der Dokumentation betreffend der Gefahrstoffentsorgung; Schnittstellenfunktion zu Entsorgungsunternehmen
- Organisation und Koordination der Behördenvorgaben zum Thema Abwasserbeprobung
- Betreuung des Chemikalienmanagementsystems der TU Graz; Unterstützung der fachvorgesetzten Person im Bereich der Prävention
- Durchführung von Kleinprojekten (z.B. Umstellung auf neue Abfallbehälter) im Bereich des Chemikalienmanagements und der Gefahrstoffentsorgung
- Abgeschlossene technische Ausbildung mit Matura (z.B. HTL mit Fachrichtung Chemie, Lehre mit Matura als Chemielabortechniker:in; Entsorgung- und Recyclingfachkraft, Kolleg für Chemieingenieure)
- Sehr gute Deutsch- und gute Englischkenntnisse
- Grundlegendes Wissen in Anorganische-, Organische- und Biochemie; Wissen über den sicheren Umgang mit Chemikalien
- Wertschätzende und lösungsorientierte Kommunikation mit Nutzer:innen, Fremdfirmen, Hausverwaltungen und internen Fachabteilungen
- Hohe Bereitschaft zur laufenden fachlichen Weiterbildung
- Grundlegende EDV-Kenntnisse (z.B. MS Office)
- Fähigkeit, Arbeitsbedarf selbstständig zu erkennen und erforderliche Maßnahmen mit dem Fachvorgesetzten abzustimmen
